一点物のユーロラックモジュラーケース!
私は以前、ニューヨークの古着屋で働いていました。ある日、お客さんがヴィンテージのハリバートンのトラベルケースを2つ持ってきました。その時初めて、このクールなトラベルケースのことを知りました。
私はこの宇宙的・スパイ映画風で耐久性のあるデザインとアルミ素材にすぐに惚れ込んでしまいました。それ以来、ずっと自分でも欲しいと思っていたのですが、なぜか機会がありませんでした。
Eurorackモジュールの世界では、ケースはモジュールの電源供給とモジュールの保護に不可欠です。
みんなモジュールには結構お金をかけるのに、ケースにはあまりお金をかけたがらない方が多い様です... 私はその考えとは逆なんです。丈夫で、かつ自分の個性や美意識が表れるようなケースが好きです。
そこで、私は、美しく、オリジナリティがあり、かつ丈夫な、世界にひとつだけのケースを作りたいと思いました。Vintage Halliburtonのケースは、そんな私の要望をすべて叶えてくれるものでした。実際、このケースはあらゆる種類の旅行でのタフなコンディションに耐えられるように設計されていますし、その上、見た目もクールです。この宇宙的なデザインで、あなたのモジュールを保護し、ショーで目立つことも間違いないでしょう。ビートルズがこのケースで旅をしている写真や、アポロ11号の宇宙飛行士が月の石をハリバートンのケースに入れて地球に持ち帰った写真もありますね!
ハリバートンのケースは、様々なシーンを想定して作られています。BPNYCでは、これらのケースをEurorack Modular Casesに変換して、ユニークなケースを作りたいと考えています。
実はDon Buchlaが昔、MUSIC EASELでハリバートンのケースを青く塗って使っていたのは知ってますか?
ユニークなケースを作るには、次のような手順があります。
1.オークションなどでEurorackに適したサイズのケースを見つける。
2.不要なパーツを取り除き、きれいにする。（例えば、ケースの中にブリーフケースのフォルダーなどが入っていたり、外側にも不必要なパーツがあったりします）
3.上下のケースをつなぐ長いヒンジを外し、取り外し可能なヒンジを付ける（ケース上部が外れるように）。また、新しいヒンジを傷つけないように、4つの足をすべてオリジナルよりも少し背の高くより丈夫でオシャレなものに交換します。
（＊このケースは、とても珍しくすでにリムーバブルトップが装着されているため、この処置は不要でした。）
4.eurorackの電源バス、レール、ショックマウントを取り付ける。
*ケースは1つ1つ状態が違うので、それぞれ微妙に違う作業が必要になります...。
*その他にもケースを美しく、正しく機能させるために、細かい作業がたくさんあります。
どのケースもすでにヴィンテージのユーズドコンディションなので、細かいキズやシミなどはありますが、それもこのケースのカッコイイ要因のひとつです。使っているうちにさらに傷がつくと貫禄がまた増します！

Description
SeventyPWR SET – includes a small 70W power board (zero HP) (+12V / 2.5A, -12V / 2.5A, +5V / 2A), power inlet panel with switch, two Filtered bus boards #1 – each of them has 18 output headers (6 filtered and 12 direct) or Filtered bus boards #2 – each of them has 19 output headers (6 filtered and 13 direct) which ensures that you will be able to power up quite a lot of modules, 90W Meanwell power brick, wires, spacers, and screws.
SeventyPWR is a small but powerful and precise PSU solution. It is sturdy and stable PSU with immunity against high startup currents which require some modules. You can mount it into your synth case without sacrificing any HP. SeventyPWR is safely supplied from an external DC power brick (18-24V).
Filtered Bus Board is a low profile bus board with extra filtered output headers. Bus board contains 18 or 19 output headers (depends on what kind of bus board you chose). 12 (13) direct headers and 6 filtered headers with LC filters. Filtered headers are specially dedicated to feed analog modules that are sensitive/susceptible to power quality. Filters reject noise caused by PSU and digital modules by 70%. Each power rail is protected against over voltage so your modules and system are safe under all conditions. 90% of the bus board area has only 11mm with inserted connectors. This feature makes Filtered bus board an ideal power distribution solution for skiff cases where depth is a concern.
