This is a black alternative panel for the Intellijel QUADRAX eurorack module. The original faceplate is heavily colour-coded so in order to preserve the information I decided to design the panel for digital printing on aluminium instead of the limited black-gold-white palette of FR-4. This way I could replicate all the colours on board while keeping the rest of the panel black. It turned out incredible!

The panel is made of 2mm thick digital printed anodised aluminium.

*Panel installation tips* Our panel is slightly thicker than the original one, this can result in “scratchy” (not smooth turning) potentiometers. To avoid this you can either remove some of the washers that are installed around the potentiometers’ shaft (beneath the panel), or you can just not push the knobs all the way down when installing them, leave just a little room and they will turn smoothly.

There are many through hole parts on the module that are soldered in a way that may lead to small center point offsets from one module to another. The panels are made with a margin at the holes to make it easier for you to install them, but again, be careful. I take no responsibility if you can’t install your panels for any reason, but I am willing to help guide you if you ask me.
