M.A.S.F. POSSESSED

まさに名は体を表す通り、この「POSSESSED」もその名の通り、ペダルを踏んだ瞬間から狂気、夢中、まるで何かに取り付かれているかのごとく暴れ出します。

５つのコントロール類はそれぞれ五感と同じ名称が与えられており、その感覚を上げたり下げたりする事によって、最適な(?)憑依状態を導き出す事ができます。

このペダルにおいて最も重要な感覚は「HEARING」であり、このコントロールを「０」にしてしまうと無音状態となってしまいます。
「SIGHT」の設定が「０」の場合は「TASTE」「TOUCH」「SMELL」の３つが機能しなくなります。「SIGHT」の設定を見失ってはいけません。
「TASTE」と「SMELL」は敏感なので、細かく丁寧に調整することが大切です。バランスを大切にしたきめ細やかな設定も良いですが、過剰に乱暴に設定しても人によっては、むしろ好みだという方もいらっしゃるでしょう。
そして「TOUCH」を操作することによって、独自の個性を発揮させます。

MASFのペダル類の中では珍しく「POSSESSED」は激しい歪みを生んだりはしませんが、歪みエフェクトペダルとの相性は抜群で、クリーンな状態で使うよりも歪ました方が使いやすいと感じるほどです。
歪みエフェクトペダルに限らず、リヴァーブペダルやディレイ、コーラスやトレモロなどとの相性も良く、完成されたシステム内の中に入れても面白いでしょう。

Each of the five controls is given the same name as the five senses…

it will derive the optimum (?) Possession state by raising or lowering the feeling(knobs)…

The most important feeling in this pedal is "HEARING", and if you set this control to "0", it will be silent.

"TASTE", "TOUCH" and "SMELL" will not function when "SIGHT" setting is at “0”. Do not lose sight of the setting of “SIGHT”.

"TASTE" and "SMELL" are very sensitive, so it is important to carefully adjust.

Some will enjoy the setting that cherishes balance, and some will enjoy chaotic wild setting!!!At the end, you can create unique personality by manipulating "TOUCH”.

"POSSESSED" does not produce intense distortion which is rare in MASF pedals but compatibility with distortion effect pedal is preeminent, and you might even find it easier to use distorted sound than using it with clean sound.

Not only with the distortion effect pedal, it also works well with reverb pedals, delays, chorus, tremolo, etc. It should be really interesting to add it in your finished pedal system.
