Dystorpia is NE's digital futuristic fuzz pedal designed to give a vast array of overdriven tonalities from traditional to futuristic.
Inspired by NE's Eurorack line, Dystorpia is not based on any pedal on your board (or module in our collection). Made for guitars but sounds great with synths, too.
Dystorpia's multiple distortions work well together for a unique sound. Fold creates grit and gnarl. It interacts with Pura, a multi-band full-wave rectifier that adds a harmonic fuzz. The Tone and Mid Band parameters work together for exquisite control over tone, from bassy to high to a midscoop at the top of the Tone knob. Add an expression pedal or control voltage in for emotive control over the voicing.
Turn the DOOM switch up to add a suboctave or create a blown-sub effect. Dystorpia's dynamics control enables an envelope that shapes the output to match the input dynamics through the distortion. Or, toggle to the smart Noise Gate for a setting that lowers the output level when there is no input.
Use Freeze to loop a sound. Tap the button once to latch or hold down for momentary-like effects.
Dystorpia features a buffered bypass.
From subtle overdriven tones to harsh and chaotic mangling, each knob is optimized to allow for maximum exploration and dynamic interaction with the other parameters to access a huge spectrum of possibilities.
Designed and built in sunny Southern California.
